The Port Dover Summer Festival would like to welcome you to Ontario’s South Coast nestled on the North Shore of Lake Erie in the county of Norfolk. We invite everyone to enjoy all that our picturesque lakeside town has to offer. Please visit our attractions page for more information and ideas on how to spend your time while in Port Dover.
The third weekend in August is always a special time in Port Dover. The Port Dover Summer Festival, or Art in the Park as it is commonly referred to, has been attracting thousands of visitors on this particular weekend for over thirty years.
Artists who work in many mediums will be located in the bottom of Powell Park as has been the Summer Festival custom. Many favourite craftspeople and artists of past years will be back as well as new faces this year with new craft skills to exhibit. Antique vendors will be returning to their usual location on Market Street along side the very popular book and magazine tables.
There are wonderful eateries throughout the town - some near the park and others down by the harbour front and beach. In the park, local community groups tempt us with pizza, pancakes and sausage, hotdogs and burgers and fires.
The Port Dover Summer Festival Committee would like to thank all the visitors who have made the Festival such a success. We would also like to extend a very warm welcome to those thinking about attending the festival for the first time.
The Committee would also like to recognize the huge effort the vendors and dealers put into their unique offerings year after year.
And to the corporate sponsors of the Port Dover Summer festival, Nor-Del Cablevision and Scotiabank, the Summer Festival Committee offers their deepest gratitude. Without your generosity, the Festival simply couldn’t happen.
